April Showers Brings May Flowe...Oh Wait ITS JUNE!!!

I remember the Start of Summer when I was a little girl. I used to lay in bed the morning of the first day of summer and calculate how many free days I was going to have until I had to smell the dirty school bus or pack another lunch again. Granted I would spend most of the time trying to figure out why there were only 90 days (roughly) of summer and 270 days of school! I used to think how precious every moment was and I should enjoy every moment, but in the end it didn’t matter how much I cherished the summer it always flew by! Although I may not be in school anymore, the summer still flies faster and faster each year!
It wasn’t until the other day that I fully accepted that June is already here! I should be excited knowing my birthday is this month (22 BABY!!!) and the wedding is coming closer, but all that I am thinking is, “What happened to May?”.
Since I last posted (over a month ago, I’m sorry!) Brice and I have been pretty busy! Monday thru Saturday Northstar Alarm Services fill our days! Lately the company has been traveling to different towns in Alabama, so Brice has been able to travel around and see other sights than Birmingham. Sunday is the only day he is allowed to live a normal life and we have enjoyed spending the day going to church, taking Sunday Naps, making dinner together, and having friends over for movies and talk until late at night! I am happy to say that the job quantity has picked up since I last wrote. Instead of getting 6-9 a week he is averaging 15-18! He is happy his time is being well spent, but exhausted during our dinners at 12:30 am.
To Explain “What Happened to May” I will have to resort to that painful repetitive explanation….I’ve Been Busy! I have been working a few hours a week at Bath and Body Works and I have fallen in love with the people I work with. There are times I have to smack myself with the reality that I wont be here much longer, but that hasn’t stopped the friendships from forming. Along with coworkers, I have developed a great relationship with the fellow wives and girls here and many of the women from church. Between Mornings by the pool side, Pride and Prejudice Book Clubs, Craft Days, Library Trips, and the Weekly Pedicure Nights we have developed quite a lifestyle. These women have taught me so many things about marriage, family, children, and couponing! I am so grateful to have them! They are making the move from Fabulous Single Socialite to Trophy Housewife (LOL!!!) a little easier!
During May I was able to make a trip to Phoenix to attend my sisters High School Graduation! It was a great relaxing week, surrounded by the people I love. It was great seeing Stephanie grow up! I am so proud of her! There were times I felt stupid because I was crying and my mom was patting my hand! Steph, has turned into such an amazing woman and I am so excited to see where she goes in the future! She is such an inspiration to me! I am so excited that I will have her close next year!
Along with Graduation Excitement I was also able to attend my Girl Scout Slumber Party! I was so excited to see these girls whom I have spent the whole year getting to know. They were such a blast and full of energy the morning I spent with them, I felt terrible for the mothers who had the night shift! I am so happy that 9/10 are returning next year, it will be so much fun now that my first year is over! WOOT!
I had my first Bridal Shower the Weekend I was in Phoenix. Thank you to all those that attended! It was so much fun to sit and chat and laugh about marriage and growing up. I find I get less scared the more people I talk to and the more we laugh the better I feel.
Speaking of Wedding, Plans are going GREAT!!! Both Reception Sites are Booked, My Dress will be in at the end of the month (I am counting the days), the Guest List is pretty much complete, Invitations start next month, and while I was in Phoenix my mom and I nailed decorations, food, favors, and dresses down. My mom is such an amazing person! She took on the task of making 4 Bridesmaid dresses, a Flowers Girl Dress, AND 4 Skirts for all my little girl helpers! Even though I know as I speak she is working on a sewing machine cussing me out, I want her to know that she has made my day more spectacular! I will always be super grateful to her and all she has done!
I have been super secret to all of the wedding details, because to me that’s what makes a wedding exciting! Walking in with no idea and then being blown away by the beauty from the dress all the way down to the itty bitty details in the centerpieces. I have decided though to let a little slip, just because I am so excited! I have ordered my cake and I could not be more excited!
Of course the colors are off, the ribbons will be silver and dark purple instead of black and blue! Be sure to watch your mailbox for our Wedding Invitation starting next month and I will be sure to post when our Wedding Website is done!
After being in Alabama for 2 months now, it is safe to say that I love a lot of things here in the South, but I do miss my Sweet Dry Arizona Home! Hopefully I will get better with posting blogs and keeping everyone updated will be easier. I love you all and miss you dearly!

Love,
